Spring Into Spring!

Blossom by blossom the spring begins.
-Algernon Charles Swinburne

Ah, Spring! The season when Mother Nature wakes up from her beauty sleep, stretches her green fingers, and decides it’s time for a makeover. It’s the ultimate reality show, featuring the grand reveal of the world after the dreary, grey winter episodes.

Let’s talk about the changing seasons, shall we? Winter is like that one guest who overstays their welcome, leaving everyone feeling a bit chilly about their presence. Then, Spring waltzes in, a breath of fresh air with a suitcase full of blooms, buzzing bees, and a playlist of bird songs that hit the top charts every morning.

Spring is the season of renewal and rejuvenation. Trees, acting like fashionistas, ditch their old, barren look for vibrant green ensembles. Flowers pop up everywhere, as if the earth is playing a game of colorful whack-a-mole. And let’s not forget the animals, who seem to have gotten the memo about the season change. Squirrels are the acrobats, showing off their parkour skills, while birds are the social media influencers, tweeting their hearts out.

Humans aren’t immune to Spring’s charm either. We start our own version of spring cleaning, which is less about cleaning and more about finding things we forgot we owned. It’s also the season of ‘let’s go outside’ until the pollen reminds us that nature can be a bit too enthusiastic with its yellow dust of doom.

But it’s not just about the comedy of allergies and the rediscovery of lost socks. Spring is a reminder that change can be beautiful. It’s a time to plant new ideas and watch them grow, to shed the old layers (literally and metaphorically), and to embrace the warmth of longer days.

So, as we enjoy the changing seasons, let’s give a standing ovation to Spring, the season that proves life can be a blooming good time. And remember, if you’re not sneezing, are you even doing Spring right? Happy Spring to all, and to all a good antihistamine!
